1. Mode of Examination: The TNPSC Group 4 exam is conducted through offline mode (OMR Sheet-based), where candidates need to mark their answers on an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet.
2. Type of Questions: The questions in the TNPSC Group 4 exam are objective type (multiple choice questions), where candidates need to choose the correct answer from the options provided.
3. Subjects and Sections: The examination typically comprises the following sections:a. General Studies b. Aptitude and Mental Ability c. General Tamil 
4. Number of Questions: The total number of questions in the TNPSC Group 4 exam is usually 200.
5. Total Marks: The exam is conducted for a total of 300 marks.
6. Duration of Examination: The duration of the TNPSC Group 4 exam is generally 3 hour
7. Negative Marking: There is NO provision for negative marking in the TNPSC Group 4 exam. 
8. Language of Examination: The question paper for General Tamil, will be in Tamil. General studies will be available both in English and Tamil Language.

• General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.
• Current Events: National and international importance, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Science, Technology, and so on.
• Geography: Earth and Universe, Solar System, Atmosphere, Weather and Climate, Water Resources, Rivers in India, Soil, Natural Vegetation, Forests, and Wildlife, Agricultural Patterns, etc.
• History and Culture of India: Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Indian National Movement, etc.
• Indian Polity: Constitution of India, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
• Indian Economy: Planning Commission, National Income, Finance Commission, Five Year Plans, etc.
• Indian National Movement: Nationalist Movement, Achievements of Independence, etc. 
• History, Culture, Heritage and Socio-Political Movements of Tamil Nadu
• Development Administration in Tamil Nadu

Aptitude and Mental Ability: 25 Questions

• Simplification: Percentage, HCF, LCM, Ratio and Proportion, etc.
• Ratio and Proportion: Simple and Compound Interest, Area, Volume, Time and Work, Logical Reasoning, Puzzles, etc.
• Conversion of Information to Data: Collection, Compilation, and Presentation of Data.
• Analytical Interpretation of Data
